The two people who seem to be in charge of most of the PPC code at moment are Benno Rice (benno@freebsd.org) and John Baldwin (jhb@freebsd.org). For the time being, this list is the best source of information about the port, although lately it seems to be just "when will FreeBSD/ppc be ready" questions. In any event, if you want to help with the project, contact those two. If you want to know when it'll be ready, just keep watching this list. It's still going to be a while, though, before there's any useable PPC port. - Matt > Hello thereAre there any plans to do this port in the short-term?Or is >someone already working on this? Thanks,= Ricardo-- >Ricardo J Sanchez, Senior Software Engineer >Ericsson IP Infrastructure, Inc. >7301 Calhoun Place, Rockville MD 20855 >Phone (240) 314-3787 Fax (240) 314-3555 Content-Type: text/x-vcard; >charset=us-ascii; > name="rsanchez.vcf" >Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit >Content-Description: Card for Ricardo Sanchez >Content-Disposition: attachment; > filename="rsanchez.vcf" > >Attachment converted: Macintosh HD:rsanchez.vcf (TEXT/ttxt) (0007B4CA) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ppc" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-ppc Fri Aug 24 18: 4:12 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org Received: from mail.jeamland.net (rafe.jeamland.net [203.18.243.114]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3CFFE37B409 for ; Fri, 24 Aug 2001 18:04:09 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from benno@FreeBSD.org) Received: by mail.jeamland.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 2BF1870606; Sat, 25 Aug 2001 11:04:07 +1000 (EST) Date: Sat, 25 Aug 2001 11:04:07 +1000 From: Benno Rice To: Richard Williams Cc: freebsd-ppc@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: FreeBSD Support on PowerPC?
