Today (well, yesterday's source) I tried again, but the system got already stuck in rc when starting moused. I'm too lazy to try GENERIC over my custom kernel since that involves changing various pieces of system configuration (loading as modules drivers that are already present in GENERIC causes all sorts of trouble). Oh well, just a random data point. -- Christian "naddy" Weisgerber naddy@mips.inka.de From owner-freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Sun Mar 21 10:37:52 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 67B7A16A4CE; Sun, 21 Mar 2004 10:37:52 -0800 (PST) Received: from smtp-out5.xs4all.nl (smtp-out5.xs4all.nl [194.109.24.6]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BE01043D1D; Sun, 21 Mar 2004 10:37:51 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from wkb@freebie.xs4all.nl) Received: from freebie.xs4all.nl (freebie.xs4all.nl [213.84.32.253]) by smtp-out5.xs4all.nl (8.12.10/8.12.10) with ESMTP id i2LIbo7U072957; Sun, 21 Mar 2004 19:37:50 +0100 (CET) Received: from freebie.xs4all.nl (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freebie.xs4all.nl (8.12.11/8.12.9) with ESMTP id i2LIboSN022387; Sun, 21 Mar 2004 19:37:50 +0100 (CET) (envelope-from wkb@freebie.xs4all.nl) Received: (from wkb@localhost) by freebie.xs4all.nl (8.12.11/8.12.11/Submit) id i2LIbo7M022386; Sun, 21 Mar 2004 19:37:50 +0100 (CET) (envelope-from wkb) Date: Sun, 21 Mar 2004 19:37:50 +0100 From: Wilko Bulte To: John Baldwin Message-ID: <20040321183750.GA22363@freebie.xs4all.nl> References: <200403121543.03123.jhb@FreeBSD.org> <200403171122.31121.jhb@FreeBSD.org> <20040317224324.GA80099@freebie.xs4all.nl> <200403171806.01271.jhb@FreeBSD.org> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <200403171806.01271.jhb@FreeBSD.org> User-Agent: Mutt/1.4.1i X-OS: FreeBSD 4.9-STABLE X-PGP: finger wilko@freebsd.org cc: alpha@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: Testers Needed!! EB64+ Digital AlphaPC 64 274 MHz, 274MHz I was able to install 5.2-release (via cdrom) and cvsup to 5.2.1-release successfully. I had some problems running 5.2 as a bridging firewall, the box would randomly reboot on me from time to time. I never troubleshot the issue, and haven't tried the bridging firewall again with 5.2.1. 5.2.1 however has been stable enough to run my squid proxy, bind9, and various scripts. --mike.d From owner-freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Mar 22 06:52:46 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 868B616A4CE for ; Mon, 22 Mar 2004 06:52:46 -0800 (PST) Received: from kanga.honeypot.net (kanga.honeypot.net [208.162.254.122]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 110A143D46 for ; Mon, 22 Mar 2004 06:52:46 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from kirk@strauser.com) Received: from pooh.strauser.com (pooh.honeypot.net [10.0.5.128]) by kanga.honeypot.net (8.12.10/8.12.10) with ESMTP id i2MEqhZv025778; Mon, 22 Mar 2004 08:52:44 -0600 (CST) (envelope-from kirk@strauser.com) To: Michael DeLisle References: <87y8pwiobj.fsf@strauser.com> <405BC69F.4050908@ozemail.com.au> <91B3C456-7BBA-11D8-BD21-003065A6F8A0@nexthop.net> From: Kirk Strauser Date: Mon, 22 Mar 2004 08:52:33 -0600 In-Reply-To: <91B3C456-7BBA-11D8-BD21-003065A6F8A0@nexthop.net> (Michael DeLisle's message of "Sun, 21 Mar 2004 23:37:04 -0500") Message-ID: <87smg1lyry.fsf@strauser.com> Lines: 9 X-Mailer: Gnus/5.1003 (Gnus v5.10.3) Emacs/21.3 (gnu/linux) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; boundary="=-=-="; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature" X-Virus-Scanned: ClamAV version 'clamd / ClamAV version 0.65', clamav-milter version '0.60p' cc: Rob B cc: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org Subject: Re: 5.2.1 on a Cabriolet?
