In fact the driver that's likely to support it (age(4)) is only in CURRENT at the moment but will probably be merged to the STABLE branches soon. So, I'll be able to do the port if no one has done it before. -- Rui Paulo From owner-freebsd-hardware@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Jun 7 19:45:52 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A44661065671 for ; Sat, 7 Jun 2008 19:45:52 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jrhett@netconsonance.com) Received: from mail.netconsonance.com (mail.netconsonance.com [198.207.204.4]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 99B188FC16 for ; Sat, 7 Jun 2008 19:45:52 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jrhett@netconsonance.com) Received: from 4.151.178.10.in-addr.arpa (m420e36d0.tmodns.net [208.54.14.66]) (authenticated bits=0) by mail.netconsonance.com (8.14.1/8.14.1) with ESMTP id m57JRlcf058888; Sat, 7 Jun 2008 12:27:51 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from jrhett@netconsonance.com) X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new at netconsonance.com X-Spam-Flag: NO X-Spam-Score: 0.051 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=0.051 tagged_above=-999 required=3.5 tests=[ALL_TRUSTED=-1.44, AWL=-0.126, TVD_RCVD_IP=1.617] Message-Id: <6C59E050-A343-435A-9074-F94007281247@netconsonance.com> From: Jo Rhett To: Randy Bush In-Reply-To: <48495A4A.1050503@psg.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed; delsp=yes Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v924) Date: Sat, 7 Jun 2008 12:27:37 -0700 References: <48495A4A.1050503@psg.com> X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.924) Cc: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org Subject: Re: 3ware 9550sx adding drives to raid X-BeenThere: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: General discussion of FreeBSD hardware List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 07 Jun 2008 19:45:52 -0000 On Jun 6, 2008, at 8:39 AM, Randy Bush wrote: > i have a 9550sx with a raid5. i want to add some drives to the > running > raid. there seems to be some cute trust-a-massive-gui path using the > java based app setupFreeBSD_x86.sh. the install looks to bring in 42% > of the ports tree. is there some useful simpler way to do this? is > there a way to just do it with tw_cli that i am missing?
