Now we want to put a link to Internet 1Mb also connected to Mother of the company through a VPN using FreeBSD. I wonder what would be the best situation to carry out the redundancy of the link, because when the dedicated link fails to enter the VPN so that almost automatic. There is a better setup for this? What would be the best idea in this case? solution to pf with redundancy, but when one of the links and I am not going to have problems? thanks! - -- Márcio Luciano Donada Aurora Alimentos - Cooperativa Central Oeste Catarinense Departamento de T.I. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIR/TQbjyCr4Ixg0wRAgVGAKCZA+fN1zV+UJy8UGn6BGbWZA+/sgCgpi/y 64Q50s17voWRyf7F9MapJ5Q= =s1RU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From owner-freebsd-pf@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Jun 6 00:08:58 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-pf@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C6AE81065670 for ; Fri, 6 Jun 2008 00:08:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from max@love2party.net) Received: from moutng.kundenserver.de (moutng.kundenserver.de [212.227.126.183]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 204E08FC22 for ; Fri, 6 Jun 2008 00:08:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from max@love2party.net) Received: from vampire.homelinux.org (dslb-088-066-027-213.pools.arcor-ip.net [88.66.27.213]) by mrelayeu.kundenserver.de (node=mrelayeu0) with ESMTP (Nemesis) id 0MKwh2-1K4PVm0KWB-00041h; Fri, 06 Jun 2008 02:08:56 +0200 Received: (qmail 87051 invoked from network); 6 Jun 2008 00:06:54 -0000 Received: from myhost.laiers.local (192.168.4.151) by laiers.local with SMTP; 6 Jun 2008 00:06:54 -0000 From: Max Laier Organization: FreeBSD To: freebsd-pf@freebsd.org Date: Fri, 6 Jun 2008 02:08:19 +0200 User-Agent: KMail/1.9.9 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: Multipart/Mixed; boundary="Boundary-00=_z/HSIQXVsCSrYco" Message-Id: <200806060208.19417.max@love2party.net> X-Provags-ID: V01U2FsdGVkX1+Ym6qb0buiya2p+5L4bleiYIF5oFqS/y1QY9W N9YVYB0sN9vDS9229ul5LRbftwLWa2ZK9v0+qcdiPehCPKNHeM uvbDO3Aw4A7hs59mCUb7Q== Subject: Fwd: Multiple routing table support commited X-BeenThere: freebsd-pf@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: "Technical discussion and general questions about packet filter \(pf\)" List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 06 Jun 2008 00:08:58 -0000 --Boundary-00=_z/HSIQXVsCSrYco Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline After I finally found some time to look at the pf part of this it is working - like a charm really. I am current;y waiting for it to loop back to me before a final make universe test, but I think it should be ok. if you do nothing you should not see any difference. for a description of what and how, look at: http://perforce.freebsd.org/fileViewer.cgi?FSPC=//depot/user/julian/routing/plan.txt to compile it into a kernel you need options ROUTETABLES=N where N is from 1 to 16 leaving it out, or setting it to 1 will have the effect of creating a kernel that should behave as it did prior to this commit. In this work a kernel routing table is referred to as a 'fib' (Forwarding Information Base). I was informed by various routing people during this work that this is the new-fangled correct name for an in kernel routing(forwarding) table. for more information see setfib(1) and setfib(2) This code, backported to 6.3 is running on Ironport appliances and Cisco/Ironport has graciously allowed it to be given back. julian _______________________________________________ freebsd-current@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-current To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-current-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" --Boundary-00=_z/HSIQXVsCSrYco--
