How can I track down just what the sanity check is complaining about? It used to be permissions on ~gdm, but this doesn't appear to be the case this time around. Normal users do not see this error. Glib most likely does not yet support Python 3. The current default version of Python is 2.5, and that is what we support. I tried changing the option to '-o umask=0' and simply deleting it, but I still can't seem to get it to mount. I should mention that I soft-link mount_ntfs to ntfs-3g, so the option that was biting me was under /system/storage/default_options/ntfs. Is there a way to get gnome-mount to use ntfs-3g directly? I've tried this with GVFS turned on in config and also turned off and see the same error each time. curlew:/home/mike% pkg_info -Ex libsoup gvfs gimp-app gimp-app-2.6.6_1,1 gvfs-1.2.3 libsoup-2.26.2 -- Mike Clarke From owner-freebsd-gnome@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Jun 6 22:44:54 2009 Return-Path: Delivered-To: gnome@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8E3D5106566B for ; Sat, 6 Jun 2009 22:44:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from oberman@es.net) Received: from mailgw.es.net (mail2.es.net [IPv6:2001:400:107:1::2]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7717A8FC0C for ; Sat, 6 Jun 2009 22:44:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from oberman@es.net) Received: from ptavv.es.net (ptavv.es.net [IPv6:2001:400:910::29]) by mailgw.es.net (8.14.3/8.14.3) with ESMTP id n56Mir73019540 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=NOT); Sat, 6 Jun 2009 15:44:53 -0700 Received: from ptavv.es.net (ptavv.es.net [127.0.0.1]) by ptavv.es.net (Tachyon Server) with ESMTP id 655281CC09; Sat, 6 Jun 2009 15:44:53 -0700 (PDT) To: Joe Marcus Clarke In-reply-to: Your message of "Thu, 04 Jun 2009 19:38:59 EDT." <1244158739.19104.18.camel@shumai.marcuscom.com> Date: Sat, 06 Jun 2009 15:44:53 -0700 From: "Kevin Oberman" Message-Id: <20090606224453.655281CC09@ptavv.es.net> X-Proofpoint-Virus-Version: vendor=fsecure engine=1.12.8161:2.4.5, 1.2.40, 4.0.166 definitions=2009-06-05_11:2009-06-01, 2009-06-05, 2009-06-05 signatures=0 Cc: gnome@freebsd.org Subject: Re: gnome-mount using ntfs-3g X-BeenThere: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: GNOME for FreeBSD -- porting and maintaining List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 06 Jun 2009 22:44:54 -0000 > From: Joe Marcus Clarke > Date: Thu, 04 Jun 2009 19:38:59 -0400 > > On Thu, 2009-06-04 at 16:10 -0700, Kevin Oberman wrote: > > > Date: Thu, 04 Jun 2009 22:20:38 +0400 > > > From: "R.Mahmatkhanov" > > > > > > Kevin Oberman пишет: > > > > I need to use ntfs-3g for mounting NTFS disks as R/W. The only problem is that /usr/local/bin is not in the path as boot time, so that the fixed NTFS slice on my system disk failed to mount. I suggest modifying the text in the file to put the full path to the executable for the mount. FUSE_HELPER="/usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g" Other than this minor tweak, things are working fine for me on that front. Thanks so much for the pointer. -- R.
