Although I an new to "unix" style programming I have over 6 years as a professional .net developer. This includes, but not limited to c#, mc++, winforms and asp.net. Before that I spent most of my time developing in c, c++ and probably a bit too much x86 assembler. This was all done using wtl, mfc or bare bones win32 API. I would like to contribute to FreeBSD mono but need some help getting started. What part of mono would be served best by my skillset or lack thereof? I would like to get started as soon as possible. When it does the merge and founds ports that are the same version in freebsd and bsd-sharp trees and they differ in content portshaker warns the user and asks to diff, install or continue. Im portshaking in a cron, so i was thinking about a flag like "-- force=install" one could pass to portshaker, so it does not wait for user input to work ("unatended mode") What do you guys think? Can this me usefull? Paul, could we have something like this? Thanks! As an example, I used to have this in my conf: tb_bsdsharp_trunk_gnome_ports_tree=3D"/usr/local/tinderbox/portstrees/bsd-s= harp-gnome/ports" tb_bsdsharp_trunk_gnome_merge_from=3D"freebsd mc_ports_stable! mc_ports! bs= dsharp" It is however possible to specify some sort of force option if this does not fits your needs ;-) Romain --=20 Romain Tarti=E8re http://romain.blogreen.org/ pgp: 8DAB A124 0DA4 7024 F82A E748 D8E9 A33F FF56 FF43 (ID: 0xFF56FF43) (plain text =3Dnon-HTML=3D PGP/GPG encrypted/signed e-mail much appreciated) --3V7upXqbjpZ4EhLz Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.11 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAkm45FgACgkQ2OmjP/9W/0OD7QCePnoJKk+nRWas8nHe/kHQDtWq ijYAnRqEYYYT5po12mNvxdwdJPnqQZJf =HW7q -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --3V7upXqbjpZ4EhLz--
