Hello, the problem is maybe worse than you think. It seems to me now, that the problem is directly in FreeBSD kernel and I see just two possible solutions for now: - Reboot the server. - Just wait, because it disappears itself after some time. However, I'm going to try third solution right now. I will upgrade the server from 8.0-STABLE (Jul 1) to 8.2-STABLE. Or does anybody have any explanation of this behavior? # find /data/ftp/pub/FreeBSD/ports/local-distfiles > /dev/null find: /data/ftp/pub/FreeBSD/ports/local-distfiles/ohauer: No such file or directory # find /data/ftp/pub/FreeBSDdevelopment/FreeBSD-CVS/src/gnu/usr.bin/gdb/gdb/Attic > /dev/null find: /data/ftp/pub/FreeBSDdevelopment/FreeBSD-CVS/src/gnu/usr.bin/gdb/gdb/Attic: No such file or directory > file has vanished: "/development/FreeBSD-CVS/src/gnu/usr.bin/gdb/gdb/Attic/parse.c,v" (in FreeBSD) > file has vanished: "/ports/local-distfiles/ohauer" (in FreeBSD) > rsync warning: some files vanished before they could be transferred (code 24) at main.c(1526) [generator=3.0.7] -- Rudolf Cejka http://www.fit.vutbr.cz/~cejkar Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology Bozetechova 2, 612 66 Brno, Czech Republic From owner-freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Mar 4 23:54:47 2011 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 93E811065678 for ; Fri, 4 Mar 2011 23:54:47 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from cejkar@fit.vutbr.cz) Received: from kazi.fit.vutbr.cz (kazi6.fit.vutbr.cz [IPv6:2001:67c:1220:808::93e5:80c]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 234D38FC1A for ; Fri, 4 Mar 2011 23:54:46 +0000 (UTC) Received: from kazi.fit.vutbr.cz (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by kazi.fit.vutbr.cz (envelope-from cejkar@fit.vutbr.cz) (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id p24NsjEK073242 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=NO); Sat, 5 Mar 2011 00:54:45 +0100 (CET) Received: (from cejkar@localhost) by kazi.fit.vutbr.cz (8.14.4/8.13.1/Submit) id p24NsjFU073241; Sat, 5 Mar 2011 00:54:45 +0100 (CET) (envelope-from cejkar@fit.vutbr.cz) X-Authentication-Warning: kazi.fit.vutbr.cz: cejkar set sender to cejkar@fit.vutbr.cz using -f Date: Sat, 5 Mar 2011 00:54:45 +0100 From: Cejka Rudolf To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org, FTP Message-ID: <20110304235445.GA73114@fit.vutbr.cz> References: <20110304083225.GA17179@carsten-otto> <20110304102750.GA29699@fit.vutbr.cz> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <20110304102750.GA29699@fit.vutbr.cz> User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.21 (2010-09-15) X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.70 on 147.229.8.12 Cc: Subject: Re: [carsten@c-otto.de: [ftpsync-freebsd-ftp@ftp] (1013) rsync ERROR on 2011.03.04-09:23:00] X-BeenThere: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: "FreeBSD Distributions Hubs: mail sup ftp" List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 04 Mar 2011 23:54:47 -0000 Cejka Rudolf wrote (2011/03/04): > However, I'm going to try third solution right now.
