An automated way of doing this on a PR-by-PR basis would be to use a custom script as EDITOR for edit-pr(1). I wrote one such script and uploaded it at: http://people.freebsd.org/~keramida/gcooper-pr-edit.py Trying this with a few PRs now, and I'll then batch the rest of the changes.
