Wh= en I try to type, control code characters get inserted instead of regular characters. The same thing happens if I run `usbconfig reset` with both the keyboard and mouse plugged in. The current workaround I have is to leave the USB Mouse unplugged on boot, waiting to get to the login prompt, then plugging the Mouse in. When I do t= his, the keyboard is detected properly (and the mouse works as well). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-usb@freebsd.org Thu Aug 18 15:33:03 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-usb@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 47706BBE477 for ; Thu, 18 Aug 2016 15:33:03 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 36E2F18AB for ; Thu, 18 Aug 2016 15:33:03 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u7IFX2HK053846 for ; Thu, 18 Aug 2016 15:33:03 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 211967] USB Keyboard is detected as USB mouse when USB mouse is plugged in at boot Date: Thu, 18 Aug 2016 15:33:03 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: usb X-Bugzilla-Version: 10.3-STABLE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: Scoobi_doo@yahoo.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: cc Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-usb@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.22 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD support for USB List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 18 Aug 2016 15:33:03 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D211967 Anthony Jenkins changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |Scoobi_doo@yahoo.com --- Comment #1 from Anthony Jenkins --- What keyboard and mouse are they? So far I haven't found anything promising so I guess there's no such interface. If that's true, do you think it would hard be to implement? Would it require refactoring of the USB subsystem or just a few lines at the right places and something to export this interface to the user space? Thanks!
