I don't know. Are you running the speedup version? If so, it's possible that this could be the cause. There are also problems in the current code (in all public versions) which causse it to not clean up locks when it is interrupted for whatever reasons. The general speedup (2-3x faster than the old version) is now in CVS, but J.T. has made some additional speedups which are not part of the official CVS release which I've put on branch so folks can test them out locally if they want.
