The mysql-jdbc driver is a port for FreeBSD (/usr/ports/databases/mysql-jdbc-mm). I'm confused. I found a note on my web site saying that the tomcat/mysql stuff worked for you? The documentation for it implies that the plugin can be built with any Java 2 VM. I haven't tried it yet though.
