I would like people to review them and tell me whether they work. -STABLE users such as myself have a problem with ogle since the ata code can't reliably handle DVDs larger than 4Gb. There is a pending MFC fix but we shouldn't expect it soon due to the holidays. If you are using -STABLE and it works for you, you are lucky. :) Well, everything should work as expected, let me know what do you find about this latest release of the nice ogle DVD player. For those who do not know it, ogle does support DVD menus. The update port versions need to be tested before I commit them to the ports' tree. You can grab them at http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/ogle-0.8.2.tgz http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/ogle-gui-0.8.2.tgz Instructions: 1) remove all ogle ports from your system - pkg_delete ogle* 2) install the updated ogle port 3) install the updated ogle-gui port Please follow these instructions to the letter. :) Regards, -- Mario S F Ferreira - DF - Brazil - "I guess this is a signature." After a few tries I realized that I needed to swap Bytes order (Big-> little endian), this the reason why you have the -B option. Then I burned my CD's burncd -s12 -f/dev/acd0c raw *.raw fixate It makes excellent quality CD's. Hope that helps. No, 750 MHz are definitely NOT too slow. On my K7/1000 machine it takes about 40% CPU for fullscreen using sdl/x11/xv driver on a Matrox G200. Is it really slow or do you mean mplayer's stupid error message that "your system is too slow to play this"? This always happens when a single frame cannot be displayed, e.g. because of switching to a different workspace of your windowmanager. > 3) mplayer -vo gl[2] will throw X into a hissy fit, leaving me > with a core dump from XFree :-( This sometimes happens here, too. In the other cases, gl and gl2 are just very slow and so I don't use it. This X crash problem is afaik caused by XFree, not mplayer.
