These represent problem reports covering all versions including experimental development code and obsolete releases. Bugs can be in one of several states: o - open A problem report has been submitted, no sanity checking performed. a - analyzed The problem is understood and a solution is being sought. f - feedback Further work requires additional information from the originator or the community - possibly confirmation of the effectiveness of a proposed solution. p - patched A patch has been committed, but some issues (MFC and / or confirmation from originator) are still open. s - suspended The problem is not being worked on, due to lack of information or resources. This is a prime candidate for somebody who is looking for a project to do. If the problem cannot be solved at all, it will be closed, rather than suspended. c - closed A problem report is closed when any changes have been integrated, documented, and tested -- or when fixing the problem is abandoned. Also the /dev/stripe/xx0 disks don't show in sysinstall, new FreeBSD users might get confused, so adding a note that the Installer won't pick up the /dev/stripe devices would be good (atacontrol created arX disks obviously get picked up) should this escalate to some other instance? In my opinion the /dev/stripe /dev/mirrorr and so on devices SHOULD be recognized by the installer (if geom_stripe/geom_mirror) is loaded... I think you should add to the documentation that you need to add the extmod module to the module section of your xorg.conf file in order for overlay to work in motv. This probably also applies to some other video apps. It should also give the hint that it might be necessary to pass the -dev option to motv in order to select the correct video card. This is necessary if you are using the nvidia driver which creates additional cideo in devices. Maybe it should also cover how to make these settings permanent using xresources, however I don't know how to do that myself, yet. Cheers Jann
