I understand the open firmware device alias for an external firewire disk drive should be : fw/node/sbp-2/disk_at_0:X What would be the device alias for an external firewire DVD drive (I actually have both an external fw disk drive wherre FreeBSD should be installed and an external fw DVD drive from which to install from) ? devalias doesn't seem to list anything that looks like it. Using the patches previously mentioned on this list, PearPC gets as far as booting the kernel... just. Then it stops, and PearPC throws an awful lot of the following message: JITC Warning, program exception: 00080000 00000000 Any ideas? I fell into the trap of not being able to boot 6.0-RELEASE - I could boot RC-1 and 7.0-SNAP - but on the pismo the cd isn't supported...so can I do a network install - its what I'm used to doing on i386? What tag do I need in options, and what server should I be using? Pete Carss
