If you still feel like you want to have your company listed on our pages, please submit a followup with english content. Also I've been checking your web-site and I wasn't able to find any mention about FreeBSD (besides small beastie/tux picture), and I actually wasn't able to find any results on google with these keywords: "freebsd site:www.tecvd.com". I think we are not going to add such entry to our commercial gallery if there is no real mention on web site about supporting FreeBSD. -- Kind regards, Daniel Gerzo From owner-freebsd-www@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Feb 16 14:20:28 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-www@hub.freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-www@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E16B616A423; Thu, 16 Feb 2006 14:20:28 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from jcamou@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 56E0643D58; Thu, 16 Feb 2006 14:20:28 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from jcamou@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (jcamou@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id k1GEKSE5042117; Thu, 16 Feb 2006 14:20:28 GMT (envelope-from jcamou@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from jcamou@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id k1GEKRIn042113; Thu, 16 Feb 2006 14:20:27 GMT (envelope-from jcamou) Date: Thu, 16 Feb 2006 14:20:27 GMT From: "Jesus R. Despite the name there'll be enough to keep BSD users busy :-) LinuxForum 2006 - Scandinavian's largest conference for Linux, BSD and Open Source Software - runs 3rd and 4th March 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Speakers include Louis Suarez-Potts (OpenOffice.org), Alan Cox (Linux), and Wietze Venema (Postfix). In the exhibition area you find new products from 30 companies, and 10 user groups will demonstrate and talk about their favorite Open Source project. Most recently, I interviewed Scott > > Long. The podcast can be found at http://bsdtalk.blogspot.com. > > maybe it would be possible to write it? I don't see anything wrong with the podcast format. We've had video shows in the past linked there if I recall correctly. I wonder if this feed is picked up by iTunes? Would be great to search for FreeBSD there and actually get some results (maybe mentioned once or twice in the The Week in Tech podcast). - Murray From owner-freebsd-www@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Feb 17 14:52:18 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-www@hub.freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-www@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9A9D116A420; Fri, 17 Feb 2006 14:52:18 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from jcamou@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 56B6143D46; Fri, 17 Feb 2006 14:52:18 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from jcamou@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (jcamou@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id k1HEqISL026690; Fri, 17 Feb 2006 14:52:18 GMT (envelope-from jcamou@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from jcamou@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id k1HEqIi1026686; Fri, 17 Feb 2006 14:52:18 GMT (envelope-from jcamou) Date: Fri, 17 Feb 2006 14:52:18 GMT From: "Jesus R. It is; I've been listening to this for a couple of weeks now. I think you have to search for "BSD" rather than "FreeBSD", but I guess there's not much to be done about that. By the way, Will, thank you so much for doing this. How can I get hold of episode 7 and earlier? FreeBSD 6.0 booted and installed cleanly via network (pxeboot and nfs mounted the cd1 ISO). This is a USB _only_ machine and the keyboard was found without problem with default (1) boot option. The machine boots only from the nVidia interface, so I had to use all the NIC-s. The install was booted from nve with pxeboot, and the system was installed via FTP from the bge interface. The nve NIC starts to work then fails with timeout (bugreport sent as well), but only if the freebsd wants to handle it, otherwise it's ok. The onboard raid is fully functional to me (WD Raptors instead of the stock seagate disks). I made a bonnie test which showed imressive perfomance, but slightly hight CPU usage. Here comes the dmesg (my custom kernel without nve and other unuseful for me): Copyright (c) 1992-2005 The FreeBSD Project.
