These represent problem reports covering all versions including experimental development code and obsolete releases. Bugs can be in one of several states: o - open A problem report has been submitted, no sanity checking performed. a - analyzed The problem is understood and a solution is being sought. f - feedback Further work requires additional information from the originator or the community - possibly confirmation of the effectiveness of a proposed solution. p - patched A patch has been committed, but some issues (MFC and / or confirmation from originator) are still open. r - repocopy The resolution of the problem report is dependent on a repocopy operation within the CVS repository which is awaiting completion. s - suspended The problem is not being worked on, due to lack of information or resources. This is a prime candidate for somebody who is looking for a project to do. If the problem cannot be solved at all, it will be closed, rather than suspended. c - closed A problem report is closed when any changes have been integrated, documented, and tested -- or when fixing the problem is abandoned. I'm working on the button right now. I thought I could just give you the html to our donate button. But, it is based on style sheets that are on our server. I'm having someone help create a button that will probably be in a gif format that you can size correctly for your website. Are you going to put it in the header? We will make it yellow if it is in the header. Otherwise, we will keep it red for now. That is much easier to edit and will give a lot of space on the front page to this activity. I spent some time looking at this and will try to get a diff for the site to place the button this evening, but in the mean time we could put a newsflash up real quickly. - Murray On Dec 6, 2007 10:27 AM, Deb Goodkin wrote: > I have two buttons that I'd like to offer. Let me ask you this, we usually send out an email to freebsd-announce@ and then it goes to the newsflash. Should I still do this, or just send copy directly to you? The next question is regarding the button. First, the message was rejected by doc@ because it was too large. So, no one there saw the button images. Second, the person who designed the smaller button using Photoshop suggested that we send you the image and a layout for how the button is supposed to look, and let you type in the copy. That way the words will appear sharp and easy to read. The image I sent you is 72 dpi and is difficult to read. As a tradition, we use `` and '' character pairs to quote text. This seems to be strange for people that don't know this tradition and there's no technical reason to go on doing this, we can just use " ", which seems to be better formatted according to the current style conventions used on the web. Is there any objection against that I change them to normal quotation marks? We already use those in the Hungarian and Spanish web translations without any problems and the text in the element in DocBook also have normal quotation marks in the generated output. -- Gabor Kovesdan FreeBSD Volunteer EMAIL: gabor@FreeBSD.org .:|:. gabor@kovesdan.org WEB: http://people.FreeBSD.org/~gabor .:|:. http://kovesdan.org From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Dec 8 19:47:10 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 015A816A420; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:47:10 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from remko@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CDA7513C442; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:47:09 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from remko@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (remko@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.2/8.14.2) with ESMTP id lB8Jl9uu046888; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:47:09 GMT (envelope-from remko@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from remko@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.2/8.14.1/Submit) id lB8Jl9se046884; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:47:09 GMT (envelope-from remko) Date: Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:47:09 GMT Message-Id: <200712081947.lB8Jl9se046884@freefall.freebsd.org> To: chess.griffin@gmail.com, remko@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org From: remko@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: docs/117035: [patch] to handbook for info on vidcontrol and console video modes X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 08 Dec 2007 19:47:10 -0000 Synopsis: [patch] to handbook for info on vidcontrol and console video modes State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: remko State-Changed-When: Sat Dec 8 19:47:09 UTC 2007 State-Changed-Why: I added the text to the basics chapter in the handbook, thanks for the submission! http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=117035 From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Dec 8 19:50:02 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A95B316A417 for ; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:50:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9A4E113C455 for ; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:50:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.2/8.14.2) with ESMTP id lB8Jo2Ku046963 for ; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:50:02 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.2/8.14.1/Submit) id lB8Jo2xY046962; Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:50:02 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Date: Sat, 8 Dec 2007 19:50:02 GMT Message-Id: <200712081950.lB8Jo2xY046962@freefall.freebsd.org> To: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org From: dfilter@FreeBSD.org (dfilter service) Cc: Subject: Re: docs/117035: commit references a PR X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Reply-To: dfilter service List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 08 Dec 2007 19:50:02 -0000 The following reply was made to PR docs/117035; it has been noted by GNATS. If the upstream provider had fixed this we can import that specific version to get this in our tree as well. Thanks for the submission though! http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=57926
