In many cases these ports are failing to compile on some subset of the FreeBSD build environments. The most common problem is that recent versions of -CURRENT include gcc3.4, which is much stricter about such things as function declarations, literal strings constants that continue over several physical lines, and forcing the deprecation of antique header files such as varargs.h (we should now be using stdargs.h). The next most common problem is that compiles succeed on the i386 architecture (e.g. the common Intel PC), but fail on one or more of the other architectures due to assumptions about things such as size of various types, byte-alignment issues, and so forth. In occasional cases we see that the same port may have different errors in different build environments. The script that runs on the build cluster uses heuristics to try to 'guess' the error type to help you isolate problems, but it is only a rough guide. If you need help in one or more build environments that you do not have access to, please ask for help on the freebsd-ports mailing list. One more note: on occasion, there are transient build errors seen on the build farm. Unfortunately, there is not yet any way for this algorithm to tell the difference (humans are much, much better at this kind of thing.) The errors are listed below. In the case where the same problem exists on more than one build environment, the URL points to the latest errorlog for that type. (By 'build environment' here we mean 'combination of 4.x/5.x/6.x with target architecture'.) (Note: the dates are included to help you to gauge whether or not the error still applies to the latest version. The program that generates this report is not yet able to determine this automatically.) portname: graphics/gstreamer-plugins-swfdec broken because: Does not compile build errors: http://pointyhat.FreeBSD.org/errorlogs/amd64-errorlogs/e.5.2007042804/gstreamer-plugins-swfdec-0.10.4,3.log (Apr 29 06:45:57 UTC 2007) overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=graphics&portname=gstreamer-plugins-swfdec portname: graphics/gstreamer-plugins-swfdec80 broken because: Does not compile build errors: http://pointyhat.FreeBSD.org/errorlogs/amd64-errorlogs/e.5.2007042804/gstreamer-plugins-swfdec80-0.8.12_2,1.log (Apr 29 06:39:05 UTC 2007) overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=graphics&portname=gstreamer-plugins-swfdec80 portname: multimedia/dirac-reference broken because: Incorrect pkg-plist build errors: http://pointyhat.FreeBSD.org/errorlogs/sparc64-errorlogs/e.5.2006121119/dirac-reference-0.6.0_2.log (Dec 28 19:25:05 UTC 2006) http://pointyhat.FreeBSD.org/errorlogs/amd64-errorlogs/e.5.2007042804/dirac-reference-0.6.0_2.log (Apr 29 09:52:20 UTC 2007) http://pointyhat.FreeBSD.org/errorlogs/sparc64-errorlogs/e.7.2006122818/dirac-reference-0.6.0_2.log (Jan 15 22:44:42 UTC 2007) overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=multimedia&portname=dirac-reference If these errors are ones that you are already aware of, please accept our apologies and ignore this message. On the other hand, if you no longer wish to maintain this port (or ports), please reply with a message stating that, and accept our thanks for your efforts in the past. Every effort has been made to make sure that these error reports really do correspond to a port that you maintain. However, due to the fact that this is an automated process, it may indeed generate false matches. If one of these errors fits that description, please forward this email to the author of this software, Mark Linimon , so that he can attempt to fix the problem in the future. Thanks for your efforts to help improve FreeBSD. Linux only supports the TUV1236D when 04 or 05 in the first byte above, so I'm not sure what type of device I have.. I've sent a request to NXP for informating on the tuner, I'll see how they respond... Though if you have a card w/ an LG H062F, like the DViCO FusionHDTV5 Gold or the PCHDTV HD5500 , a bit of mash up between my bktraucap program and the cxd driver, and you'll be able to tell me how your computer crashes! :) (Though I'll need to add ioctl's to flip GPIO lines for you.) Turns out that the demodulator is at 20, not 0xa0... So the correct data is: bash-2.05b$ ./iic -f /dev/iic0 START 20 WRITE 1 0 STOP START 21 READ 5 05 02 09 20 01 And that does mean the tuner is the NXT2004, which is supported by Linux... guess I will be able to support it after reversing the Linux code... -- John-Mark Gurney Voice: +1 415 225 5579 "All that I will do, has been done, All that I have, has not." While img_convert() has been declared deprecated for a while, it seems to have finally been disabled in the version installed by ffmpeg-devel. This will obviously impact any program using that function, which has been superseded by (the much more complex) sws_scale(). I know that this breaks multimedia/dvbcut, but that is a C++ program, and AFAIK the ffmpeg developers want to drop support for C++ in one of the next versions, anyway. This leaves me wondering, if we could keep the last working ffmpeg as ffmpeg-old for programs like dvbcut, that rely on it.
