Building mplayer fails in /usr/ports/multimedia/mplayer/work/MPlayer-1.0rc1/vidix/drivers because it can't find libXxf86dma library. Adding $(LIBDIR) in the Makefile fixed that: VIDIX_LIBS = -L$(LIBDIR) -L../../libdha -ldha I am not sure if it the right way to fix the build. We should at least fix trivial failures (mostly plist=20 fixes) that would otherwise keep things like qt and gtk from building. But= =20 yes, once we're at the stage that some (mostly leaf) ports fail because of= =20 library differences and such then yes, we should go and merge the thing=20 (possibly with short freeze and definitely with large headsups). I don't=20 think it will take much longer until we get there. The display goes out of sync and hangs whenever X is shut down. My workaround was to comment out the 'Load "dri"' line in xorg.conf. I would say this is a serious problem. The X-servers comes up, and even glxgears seem to spin at decent speed. However, at random points after much work, such as moving a window "too much" or scrolling through "too much" textual output in an xterm, the X-server hangs. The poster there just supplied NULL for the missing (fourth) argument. That works for me (at least for compiling).. still trying to get the driver to behave after upgrading to -CURRENT today though.. I expect someone on -current would be able to comment on the API change, but I haven't seen this mentioned over there yet (and I haven't bothered to go CVS-diving myself). I expect someone on -current would be able to comment on the API change, but I haven't seen this mentioned over there yet (and I haven't bothered to go CVS-diving myself).
