Using GENERIC kernel, and it looks to have been compiled with support for the powermac_nvram device, but I don't have that device created in /dev. What do I need to make the device file is my first question. My second question is, will this solve my hardware clock issue? Battery is good. I understand this may not yet be supported, but if it is I'd be a real happy camper. FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE-p5 Motorola PowerPC 7450 revision 2.1, 866.67 MHz I can post a full dmesg if anyone would like that. -jesse From owner-freebsd-ppc@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Apr 29 06:29:58 2009 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id ACE59106564A for ; Wed, 29 Apr 2009 06:29:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from won.derick@yahoo.com) Received: from n10.bullet.mail.mud.yahoo.com (n10.bullet.mail.mud.yahoo.com [209.191.125.208]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 666CD8FC17 for ; Wed, 29 Apr 2009 06:29:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from won.derick@yahoo.com) Received: from [68.142.194.243] by n10.bullet.mail.mud.yahoo.com with NNFMP; 29 Apr 2009 06:17:40 -0000 Received: from [68.142.201.251] by t1.bullet.mud.yahoo.com with NNFMP; 29 Apr 2009 06:17:40 -0000 Received: from [127.0.0.1] by omp412.mail.mud.yahoo.com with NNFMP; 29 Apr 2009 06:17:40 -0000 X-Yahoo-Newman-Property: ymail-3 X-Yahoo-Newman-Id: 539051.82805.bm@omp412.mail.mud.yahoo.com Received: (qmail 41296 invoked by uid 60001); 29 Apr 2009 06:17:40 -0000 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=yahoo.com; s=s1024; t=1240985859; bh=WbneZw44K/hX0GsAot8VF8t8NbJEqB/hO9eRn9fHlNM=; h=Message-ID:X-YMail-OSG:Received:X-Mailer:Date:From:Subject:To:MIME-Version:Content-Type; b=NV5DM7oncMFvg5ET5t2iHQ39k3FQwQD6WUccN0g7GRfnMNatzadV3PRMb3jVLtj8qSx5GW0A628MWaWFDrsChfjlv2FwxgRAQy3YE7e/Waj1b0BXo+53BGcrxXyqqhdXPQwkeTTxfEXPG9Qa2Qh5It8/xcl41fBZPk6MXr/vg/4= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=s1024; d=yahoo.com; h=Message-ID:X-YMail-OSG:Received:X-Mailer:Date:From:Subject:To:MIME-Version:Content-Type; b=M3NLJKZbHUiRKJBwYL+dS4AVur9bYygaWf3A8hxeyjCxEK9iR3wtimTiJYmty/tgMoGU+YC1zC4f3iqTWlL2AUwH9zajYdr+DjKJl7A+xbl7nfVorXnTIrFmRt9bbaFJA6om54Uaje9KaJH477C8m6l3i4U3jFO7kLFHXzulNdM=; Message-ID: <978201.39048.qm@web45811.mail.sp1.yahoo.com> X-YMail-OSG: FqjfFssVM1nbrifMGrdEF4Oo2IwrvmgFsfSTksQt_JNvKTDJzSjUcUl96DKpzzGHBSQVD7wPCYdOxLAnghB4LlrGaP09gG3hzi1sKBgReCuCTHA5cxR3RtvpSawGADc2oH4rMNbhTcyAjEDhVGA7QGlW6mK0rUa72XwfKOiiTQUCnPhZLV1UyvB_AGgWpH2pibfE1tLF2goIQguVkcufqyLGnuUaFe9oGdIeUz4lG4FUHzUB.jAFPL5p4Ppo67gxCrTiSCzvWsBSDoxQrpIfWKuKiD1AvDmnJtv_pDjvE0kgbYW6yV3U8KphhURv2uupVcXbt9fURHaibmT3SiCAIC4R0T.F Received: from [58.71.34.137] by web45811.mail.sp1.yahoo.com via HTTP; Tue, 28 Apr 2009 23:17:39 PDT X-Mailer: YahooMailClassic/5.2.19 YahooMailWebService/0.7.289.1 Date: Tue, 28 Apr 2009 23:17:39 -0700 (PDT) From: Won De Erick To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org, Jesse Callaway MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Cc: Subject: Re: hardware clock X-BeenThere: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the PowerPC List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 29 Apr 2009 06:29:59 -0000 --- On Wed, 4/29/09, Jesse Callaway wrote: > Hi, > > Apologies if this has been discussed already, but I'm > having trouble > getting the hardware clock to sync with system time on a G4 > tower. i remember i have reported same problem before. http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org/msg03415.html From owner-freebsd-ppc@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Apr 29 10:46:55 2009 Return-Path: Delivered-To: powerpc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EAC191065672; Wed, 29 Apr 2009 10:46:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: from smarthost1.sentex.ca (smarthost1.sentex.ca [64.7.153.18]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AC1648FC1C; Wed, 29 Apr 2009 10:46:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: from smtp2.sentex.ca (smtp2c.sentex.ca [64.7.153.30]) by smarthost1.sentex.ca (8.14.3/8.14.3) with ESMTP id n3TAkpfm028908; Wed, 29 Apr 2009 06:46:51 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: from freebsd-current.sentex.ca (freebsd-current.sentex.ca [64.7.128.98]) by smtp2.sentex.ca (8.14.3/8.14.3) with ESMTP id n3TAkpXY048132; Wed, 29 Apr 2009 06:46:51 -0400 (EDT) (envelope-from tinderbox@freebsd.org) Received: by freebsd-current.sentex.ca (Postfix, from userid 666) id 8CE537302F; Wed, 29 Apr 2009 06:46:51 -0400 (EDT) Sender: FreeBSD Tinderbox From: FreeBSD Tinderbox To: FreeBSD Tinderbox , , Precedence: bulk Message-Id: <20090429104651.8CE537302F@freebsd-current.sentex.ca> Date: Wed, 29 Apr 2009 06:46:51 -0400 (EDT) X-Virus-Scanned: clamav-milter 0.95.1 at smtp2.sentex.ca X-Virus-Status: Clean X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.64 on 64.7.153.18 Cc: Subject: [head tinderbox] failure on powerpc/powerpc X-BeenThere: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the PowerPC List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 29 Apr 2009 10:46:55 -0000 TB --- 2009-04-29 08:52:53 -
