Small hint regarding Ctrl+C method: select that wide strange modal window and press Tab key (to switch focus... possibly you should press Tab several times) and then press Enter. It will disappear. Though I haven't got chance to find the root of the issue because that window has never appeared since then. Looks like issue has gone (though I followed links mentioned within Makefile and didn't understand the root of the issue). > - - Fixed a redraw problem that would occur with gtk>= 2.18 looks good (earlier I had to resize window to get the content rendered). Right now it works as expected. Thanks! BTW: lately I mentioned the issue when eclipse crashes periodically (eclipse was signaled with SIGSEGV). It happens on 9.0-current with JAVA_VENDOR=freebsd (diablo-jdk). Even having COMPAT_FREEBSD7 in the kernel and misc/compat7x installed didn't help here. However switching to openjdk6 helped. So, may be it is worth to add smth. like belows to Makefile (I guess it is also possible to replace openjdk with bsdjava and it should work too)? .if ${OSVERSION} >= 900000 JAVA_VENDOR= openjdk .endif -- WBR, Andrey Kosachenko From owner-freebsd-eclipse@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Jan 16 02:52:34 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-eclipse@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CA6AC1065679; Sat, 16 Jan 2010 02:52:34 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from ken@tydfam.jp) Received: from daemon.sub.tydfam.jp (ns.tydfam.jp [61.197.228.42]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 60B068FC0A; Sat, 16 Jan 2010 02:52:34 +0000 (UTC) Received: from localhost (tyd3.sub.tydfam.jp [192.168.1.3]) by daemon.sub.tydfam.jp (8.14.3/8.14.3) with ESMTP id o0G2qT44026048; Sat, 16 Jan 2010 11:52:29 +0900 (JST) (envelope-from ken@tydfam.jp) Date: Sat, 16 Jan 2010 11:52:29 +0900 (JST) Message-Id: <20100116.115229.634347869525779515.ken@tydfam.jp> To: sepotvin@freebsd.org From: ken In-Reply-To: <4B5077BC.7040904@FreeBSD.org> References: <4B5077BC.7040904@FreeBSD.org> X-Mailer: Mew version 6.3 on Emacs 23.1 / Mule 6.0 (HANACHIRUSATO) Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Spam-Status: No, score=1.9 required=9.5 tests=ALL_TRUSTED, FH_DATE_PAST_20XX autolearn=no version=3.2.5 X-Spam-Level: * X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.2.5 (2008-06-10) on daemon.sub.tydfam.jp Cc: freebsd-eclipse@freebsd.org Subject: Re: Eclipse 3.5.1, take 2 X-BeenThere: freebsd-eclipse@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: "FreeBSD users of eclipse EDI, tools, rich client apps & ports." Reinstalled this morning and installing/using the plugins installed from the update manager works perfectly now :) Only thing that is till weird is that I still did not have any update sites configured after installing eclipse. I had to add the Galileo Release site myself. Its not that big of an issue for me, but I guess it can be annoying for new users. Anyone else with the same issue ?
