I am going through a firewall, and am using FTP passive mode. Also I am using the boot floppy from 3.0-19980919-BETA. When I tried 3.0-19980918-SNAP from current.freebsd.org and the boot floppy from that snap everything worked fine. I'd be happy to do further testing, but as a newbie to current, I'm not really sure what would be helpful.
