Really? Yes, really. For people who are not unix experts, there is a *vast* difference in ease-of-use between an out-of-the-box linux installation and an out-of-the-box FreeBSD installation. In fact distros like corel linux and recent versions of others are approaching windows in their ease-of-installation and the number of useful desktop applications they offer immediately on install, with point-and-click menu items for each. I don't think it's the main advantage of linux over windows, but it is the main advantage of linux over any other unix-like alternative. As to the press release, yes it would be nice if they mentioned the BSD's. Actually they seem to support Corel Linux specifically, not even other linux distributions. But I'm sure it will work without too much difficulty on other linux distros, and also on FreeBSD with its linuxulator... R.
