I've been involved with the FreeBSD/JDK project for well over 3 years. I led the porting effort, and created *ALL* of the JDK1.1 releases, including doing bugfixing. I've spoken directly with the Sun engineers and had discussions concerning performance and buginess of green threads vs. native threads. I also understand why they dropped support for green threads in JDK1.4, as well as why there is a 'plugin'. You're simply wasting your time, since you have shown you really don't have any ideas why things work or don't work. All further email from you on this topic will be ignored, since you don't have anything to say that is meaningful. Have a Merry Christmas!
