Myself, I often enjoy listening to music while I code.  I find it helps me
get into the "coders trance".  I do my best work late at night, after 
the rest of the house has retired for the evening.  I have a lapcat that
often falls asleep in my lap as well, which relaxes me.  Coffee is also
a neccessity :-)
