Many times I have browsed the list only to find that many of you installing FreeBSD for the first time have problems locating the correct device driver for your particular NIC. I suggest that, instead of asking here first, please do a google or otherwise search for your NIC and/or the chip used on the NIC AND freebsd. That solves your problem 99% of the time, believe me. I've had to do that with several different installs. I think only ask here as a last resort.
