i bought lexmark optra e310 for $300-400 (US) 2-3 years ago.  it
supports ps2 and pcl5 or pcl6.  i think the updated model is e312.

only thing that it doesn't do is double sided printing ... which
makes a laser print almost double in price, too.  otherwise, it is
working just fine.
