Sorry. I don't think that this changes are big enough to discuss. > Also, if I know about this (flock -> fcntl) change, I can work with me > (the author) to make it so this is default for FreeBSD. All FreeBSD mail programs use flock now. Fcntl have some disadvantages, see fcntl man page f.e. > Also, is 8BITMIME beign for *all* users? > I just check the Bat book, and I'm not sure exactly what the implications > of this change are. (I seldomly get mail that isn't 7-bit US-ASCII). We ship FreeBSD with sendmail by default which understand 8BITMIME well. Users with other MTA (non-default case) supposed to make needed changes by themselfs. Many mail ports already assume sendmail in any case. > Since my I haven't kept up with sendmail 8.8 changes, and Bat book > doesn't discuss DCN (its 1st ed). So I have no idea of the implications > of this change? DSN also works well with sendmail which shipped by default as I already say. Some mail ports already use DSN too. -- Andrey A.
