A frend handed me the 222a version of fbsd. In the install.txt file I found the following. >1.4 Can I run DOS binaries under FreeBSD? > >Not yet! We'd like to add support for this someday, but are still >lacking anyone to actually do the work. Ongoing work with BSDI's >RUNDOS utility may bring this much closer to being a reality sometime >soon. It requires the X Window System (provided as >XFree86 3.2) to operate. To be able to move around in the dos/win environment, I use a special vga video board (Vista) that allows to magnify the screen. A small 12k tsr primes the magnification facilities, otherwise it behaves just like a standard vga card. My question is: Is the text mode DOS session emulated from XFree86 running full screen or in a window or are they both possible like an os2 vdm??? Otherwise, is there any system wide magnification system that operates reliably under fbsd? Thanks a lot for any info!! --- Robert Gauthier To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
