SVN? is that like CVS? Yes, it's the successor for version control access for FreeBSD sources and ports. In the past, CVS has been used (cvsup-without-gui from ports, later csup in the base OS), today Subversion is being used (subversion from ports, probably svnup soon in OS). The functionality toward the "end user" is comparable, even though certain things are easier to achieve with SVN. That's why I'd like to see a csup-like "replacement" be part of the OS, or at least a stub a la "base pkg" which pulls in the actual program at first use. > > Just to make sure you can continue receiving helpful replies > > from this list... :-) > > > > could this have anything to do with my having quit my > subscriptions to the -questions list?? No. This message has been sent to me for the "reply all" reply I sent to you. My _last_ message however did NOT bounce, so I tend to assume that the problem has resolved itself. No further error message. I will furthermore pretend to having _not_ seen any error messages. Let's see if this is justified. :-) -- Polytropon Magdeburg, Germany Happy FreeBSD user since 4.0 Andra moi ennepe, Mousa, ...
