I think you will have to use something to divide the disk in to more than one slice, each of which can be what you want - fat32, FreeBSD, etc. or maybe upgrade to a more recent FreeBSD. I tried it with Partition Magic, but it failed because it wouldn't recognize USB disks - not even the 8.0 version which claims it will. I haven't had time to try gparted or any others.
