Under Linux there are many drivers supporting many webcams exposing them as device with some standardised access. Under Windows there's whole driver infrastructure of camera devices. In FreeBSD I couldn't only find old bt848 driver, driver for some obsolete parallel port camera and pwc_bsd project supporting newer Philips PWC chipset. It must be possible to make some infrastructure allowing to use linux videodevice drivers with minimal changes. Thanx, Yuri
