In an attempt to 'go back to square 1', I've attempted to integrate information from both Jim & Ben as well as the on-line CVSup documentation. Step 1 - Created a new directory called /cvs/repository/tree Step 2 - Created a new CVSup file with the following contents (notations added for email): merlin# cat /cvs/repository/CVSup *default umask=077 <-- to keep access away from my users *default release=cvs <-- from what I read, required by cvsup? *default host=cvsup4.freebsd.org *default base=/cvs/repository <-- to separate the info files from my std tree *default prefix=/cvs/repository/tree <-- to keep the code away from my std. tree *default delete *default use-rel-suffix doc-all <-- to get the documentation tree www <-- to get the www tree Step 3 - I Ran "cvsup /cvs/repository/CVSup" Step 4 - With doc-all and www completed, attempted to "build the web pages from scratch", ala http://www.freebsd.org/tutorials/docproj-primer/x2438.html Step 5 - This is where I think a step is missing. According to Jim, I'm not supposed to have to make any directories. I had to manually FTP in the CVSROOT directory and it's contents. Apparently I'm missing something in my supfile? In the end, all starts out well ending in: make: don't know how to make /cvs/repository/tree/ports/LEGAL,v. Stop *** Error code 2 Stop in /var/tmp/webbuild/www/en. But I guess that's for a different email :) > > Side note - "cvs-crypto" comes up with "Unknown collection", which is > > odd? > >It seems you're not keeping up with your mail :-) That collection is >now part of src-all. Yes, I must have been slacking. Again, I apologize. I re-read the new /usr/share/examples/cvsup/cvs-supfile, and I see the mention there. Within /usr/share/examples/cvsup/secure-cvs-supfile, reference is still made to a crypto collection.
