Mails to cvs@ should be definite and precise. Like "please repocopy ports/databases/db3 to ports/databases/db4". I'm still note sure from your email above whether you're sure that this is the right thing to do or not. I notice that there's a db3-latest too. What's to become of that? (It doesn't look like it was a repocopy of db3, but I imagine that it should have been.)
