I noticed your address(es) in certain readme files and/or man pages. I am trying ( with no success ) to run various "ported" FreeBSD-1.1 apps under Linux. These files came with my slackware (Trans-AmeraTech(sp)) CD. Some apps work ... most don't. The common response when a run is attempted is : Segmentation Fault with no core file generated. Tried to trace through with gdb and xxgdb ... gdb is no help. xxgdb complains about some typewriter value ( have a feeling that is an xxgdb setting than a FreeBSD setting ... but, I could be wrong ). The xtrek app ( with xtrekd ) is the app I have been trying to get to work for the longest time with no success. If anything, the knowledge gained on just the "this is how you run a ported BSD app" would be worth its weight in gold!
