Using the first sentence of the pkg-descr as the pkg-comment. And it is used in the Javadoc documentation system as well. And that works quite well. From now on, I'll make sure that the first sentence of my pkg-descr is equal to the pkg-comment. If this is the approach we're really going to take, then we could allow the use of a pkg-comment file, but if it doesn't exist then we would use the first sentence from the pkg-descr file. This would not break any existing ports (as the install process currently breaks if there is no pkg-comment file), and it would allow for a smooth transition to a pkg-comment-less ports collection ;) +1 Ernst -- Ernst de Haan Java Architect Jollem Information Technology "Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest" -- Jesus Christ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
