You can install by floppy disk but you'll have to make your own. You'll need to either download it to a machine and make to floppy disks on there or find a machine with a CDROM and a floppy and make the floppies there. I'd recommend you dont do a floppy install though as it takes quite a while. If you can download FreeBSD id do it from the laptop, using the installer, even if you have to use a null modem or "laplink" cable.
