Our Irix sysadmin here has been going on about SGI's XFS journaling
filesystem for some time.  I see on /. they've now released a beta of XFS
under GPL for Linux:

  http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/beta.html

I'm idly wondering whether it would be possible (or indeed desirable) to port
this to FreeBSD.
