I'm trying to track down a bogon, and in the process have come across something a bit weird : 199 idl RET write 324/0x144 199 idl CALL read(0x3,0xefbfcb18,0x20) 199 idl RET read -1 errno -11 Unknown error: -11 fd 3 is the connection to the X server. After this, it selects, and then reads successfully from fd 3. Shortly after this, the bogon occurs. (And I can't tell for sure if it's related or not, as the error message related to the bogon is rather vague.) Also, if anyone knows anything about the floating point environment under Linux; any commentary on differences that might cause problems would be handy. -- ]] Mike Smith, Software Engineer msmith@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] Genesis Software genesis@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] High-speed data acquisition and (GSM mobile) 0411-222-496 [[ ]] realtime instrument control (ph/fax) +61-8-267-3039 [[ ]] Collector of old Unix hardware.
