After I killed xdm the machine shutdown for some reason. When restarted it seems to work fine (including sockets, all the network, everything). However when I try to run X (either xdm or startx, or xinit, or whatever) I get the following error message: Fatal server error: xf86OpenConsole: KDENABIO failed (Operation not permitted) and nothing works. I am really puzzled. I can't figure out what KDENABIO is. Reinstalling XFree 3.3.6 did not do any good. Any ideas? May be someone could at least suggest who I should ask about this?
