Disabling parity checking in the BIOS of the controller doesn't help, as FreeBSD seems to enable it again (at least it is enabled again when I boot again and check in the BIOS). I would blame the drive to be broken or something similar, the weird thing is that I can use the drive without any problems with Windows 98 on the same machine. I guess this all is some easy "standard" problem, but I wasn't able to find anything in the archives for this list. -- bye, logix Sleep is an abstinence syndrome wich occurs due to lack of caffein.
