Devices are documented in secion 4 of the man pages. Generally there will be a man page for pretty much any device under /dev: just strip off any unit numbers or other extra characters. Sometimes the man page is listed under the kernel option required to enable it. eg: /dev/zero --> zero(4) /dev/sa0 --> sa(4) /dev/nsa0 --> sa(4) /dev/da0s1a --> da(4) /dev/dsp0.0 --> snd(4) a.k.a. pcm(4) Cheers, Matthew --=20 Dr Matthew J Seaman MA, D.Phil. 26 The Paddocks Savill Way Marlow Tel: +44 1628 476614 Bucks., SL7 1TH UK To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
