It would have been a significant surprise if it worked, too - see http://www.freebsd.org/~eivind/FixNULL.patch for a start on fixing this. (There are some locking issues that I haven't had time to sort out yet, so that patch will not give you a 100% functional NULLFS. I'll look at this as soon as my testbox is free again.) Eivind.
