Watching the konsole while it builds it I notice, at the end of the=20 build -=20 gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/graphics/evince/work/evince- 0.8.3' gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/graphics/evince/work/evince- 0.8.3' File '/usr/local/share/gnome/applications/evince.desktop' contains=20 invalid MIME type '' that is missing a slash =3D=3D=3D> Compressing manual pages for evince-0.8.3_1 =3D=3D=3D> Running ldconfig /sbin/ldconfig -m /usr/local/lib =3D=3D=3D> Registering installation for evince-0.8.3_1 =3D=3D=3D> Cleaning for poppler-gtk-0.5.91 =3D=3D=3D> Cleaning for evince-0.8.3_1 ---> Installation of graphics/evince ended at: Sun, 09 Sep 2007 13:01: 39 +0100 (consumed 00:03:22) ---> Fresh installation of graphics/evince ended at: Sun, 09 Sep 2007=20 13:01:39 +0100 (consumed 00:21:21) ---> ** Install tasks 1: 1 done, 0 ignored, 0 skipped and 0 failed [Updating the pkgdb in /var/db/pkg ... - 689 packages found (-0 +2)=20 .. done] ---> Listing the results (+:done / -:ignored / *:skipped / !:failed) =09+ graphics/evince ---> Packages processed: 1 done, 0 ignored, 0 skipped and 0 failed ---> Session ended at: Sun, 09 Sep 2007 13:03:16 +0100 (consumed 00: 28:05)=20 NB The third line warns of the invalid MIME type in evince.desktop =20 . Incidently I am having to install evince with kports because=20 whilst doing #cd /usr/ports/x11/gnome2 #make install The make blows up saying that evince has a vulnerability. Well=20 maybe so but the make should not worry about that. I did a PORTS =20 update , a make index , and a update pkg-db but it still blows up. Anyway now I have got kports to install evince and the =20 make of gnome seems to have restarted OK. But why does it blow up over a vulnerability. Thank you for your time. malcolm_green@tiscali.co.uk __________________________________________________ Tiscali Broadband only =C2=A37.99 a month for your first 3 months! http://w= ww.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/
