From: Sean Bruno To: bug-followup Cc: Subject: Re: ports/188473: games/minecraft-client fails to start Date: Sun, 13 Apr 2014 20:46:59 -0700 --=-U0eoi5WC6YzHyynb0On6 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable At svn r349800 the concept of a fixed version of the Minecraft.jar file was implemented. This is incorrect for the Minecraft 1.7 application as it auto-updates from S3 and needs create a few files in your local config. =20 The MASTER_SITE needs to be set back to the launcher version on Amazon S3 as it is a small .jar file that will handle updates and downloading of the correct client. Changing this back to the previous value fixes this for me: Just use the minecraft.com download location on their website, this doesn't change: http://s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Download/launcher/Minecraft.jar This launcher will download and install "things" and it'll be fine. The rest of the versioned stuff, just doesn't work with 1.7 anymore. Replacing the pkg version of Minecraft.jar with the one from this downloade location works every time. sean --=-U0eoi5WC6YzHyynb0On6 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQEcBAABAgAGBQJTS1ozAAoJEBkJRdwI6BaHWzcH/2khxBEYA8TDsdmzidKLlReU hsBa/ZbSFxpNWV628pqr1zwzxhGgqmeePmshv3CQkotrHgZdmpyvyEgmPCw/K72X bK+/+IRaO9hXNnvUVVhXzJfhyxeZIrb/MB9fJ6P7/MrEez0ZtCrxAr2k8XU/a147 9fVAPJNUs80n/mmsS4T+wvEZ93BDUnsmKCNE2U1V16f0vlwO0Vn4PwzHhsUI1AWF pBxUfLODbrufDaOEPdUCtnnsNNaCQjCljFfddBxwyi064NZUYhuXy6sh8S+XZmip WRczwl2Vc+6ey9xYnXPReo7ZgdjqFiYQFti4cEd0b3foMOA580amc6vzoQnOCRw= =1+ec -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-U0eoi5WC6YzHyynb0On6--
