I made a boot floppy and booted from that and configured the first hard drive with the Boot MGR and set up the first half of the second hard drive for freeBSD. I created a 250MB slcie and made it bootable. Then I took the automatic option to set up the freeBSD system. The next step was to install from a DOS partition which was on another partition on the same hard drive. This all seemed to go OK until the very end of the installation when several errors occured which stated that it couldn't copy several files. After getting through that problem by cancelling those file transfers, the installtion completed and messages came up that said all went OK and the installation was successful. When the machine rebooted the boot manager came up with two options, F1 for DOS and F5 for disk 2. When selecting disk 2 with F5 a partial DOS boot takes place. When windows opens my sound card contiues to send a pulsing tone. When rebooting with the F1 option from the boot MGR windows boots without any problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
