Questions Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk I am currently running FreeBSD 2.0.5 and I have a few admin problems. I was wondering if there is a utility that deletes users. I was told the only way is to edit the password file and delete the user. Is this the only and/or correct way? Also, I need to give users accounts to use e-mail, but I don't want them to be able to telnet out or ftp out. I was told by someone to give the users a fake or non-existent shell. This would stop people from being able to telnet in, but allow them to use a POP server to check there mail. Is there a way to allow users to login and use PINE, for example, and not allow them to telnet out, ftp out, or any other commands besides those associated with sending and receiving mail? Is there any way of making the only directory a user can see is his or her home directory? Can I put a size limit on the amount bytes a user can store on our system?
