This is useful for long listings etc. (Solaris also has command and shell tool windows ... one is scrollable, one is not). I've checked the FBSD ports under X but haven't seen a replacement xterm that is scrollable ... is there one ? Also, on Digital Unix, system messages are sent to the Console window, and only that window. On my FBSD box, I have opened one 'xconsole' window, and 3 xterms and all 4 receive console messages (eg. "login by root..",etc). I am happy with receiving system messages on the console and syslog.conf is configured to do this.... but is there any way to have it not appear in all 4 windows, just xconsole ? thanks in advance, chas To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
