I don't know about monitoring mode as I've never tried to use it (and have no idea what it is), but the D-Link DWL-G650 revisions B and C, and the NetGEAR WG511T are well-support, Atheros-based Cardbus cards. I've got these working with FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE, 5.3-RELEASE + Sam's net80211 patches, and 6-CURRENT (they also work very nicely in Windows 98SE and XP w/ and w/o SP2). Gives me very nice, stable, 54 Mbit/s connections using WEP and WPA (6-CURRENT) to a D-Link DI-624 router. -- Freddie Cash, CCNT CCLP Helpdesk / Network Support Tech.
