Wow, I hardly remember the bug report. However, I have been using a 4MM HP SCSI DAT drive daily since August to back up 20-some GB of filesystems. I have also had occasion to extract files and remove the tape, and I have noticed no anomalies. I've been running a version of FreeBSD about a week shy of 2.1-STABLE since Nov 10, 1995. So, I don't see this bug any more. - Gene
