Sender: owner-freebsd-hackers@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Greetings I have a disk load problem I was hoping to solve by using an added disk and simlinking a number of directories over to the new disk. These are directories to be accessed by apache and there may be as many as 40-60 simlinks to the new drive for the data directories. My question is how much of a hit do I take by using this large a number of simlinks? How much processing/memory usage does it eat to traverse a link from one disk top another? Thanks!!
